The Manual

So there we were

in a state of comfort. You asked:

Is there where I will stand in the next 10 years?

Is this what absolute comfort feels like?
Is this when I should sit on my laurels?

This is safe.

And so you rested.   

 

So here we are

in a state of dreadful angst. You ask:

Is it premeditated?

Is this a harbinger of something malignant?

Is this a precursor to better things?

This is safe.

And so you dread.  

 

So here we go

in a state of unsurety. You ask:

Is this what the manual says?

Is this leading us to somewhere certain?

Is this the way?

This is safe.

 And so you go.  

So here's how it is:

We ponder upon the malignancy & the benignancy

in an existence we do not fully know.

It could be the end of a beginning.

It could be the beginning of an end.

It could be your usual cold & dewy morning where

you have your usual hot & moreish caffeine fix.

There is no yellow page in this existence.

There is no sure purpose in this existence.

You assign them yourself- a manual.

No need to get too bullish with it- just always be mindful of your surroundings.
